Lowell Nault: Cut a piece of 2mm black foam the width of the hook gap and the length of the hook and tie in with strong black tying thread as shown. The hook shown here is a #10 dry fly hook. |

Lowell Nault: Tie in three strands of peacock herl (or substitute sparkle peacock chenille) adjacent to the tie in point for the black foam body, wrap forward 2/3 way up hook and tie in. |

Lowell Nault: Pull the foam over the top of the hook and tie in at the 2/3 point on the hook. Tie in round rubber legs on each side as shown. Add a piece of red or other bright colored foam at the tie in point. |
