The Clear Fork River is the premier brown trout fishery in Northern Ohio. The upper section, above Pleasant Hill Lake, meanders through farmlands and the town of Butler. Most of this property is private, so please make sure you have landowner permission before fishing. Below the Pleasant Hill Dam the Clear Fork River flows through Mohican State Park, and access to the river is plentiful.
The river is stocked once a year in the fall with brown trout, so Catch and Release is essential to maintain the fishery.
