Speaker & Subject: Dustin Coffey, 2024 Orvis-Endorsed Fly-Fishing Guide of the Year
Our March CFRTU chapter meeting will be held jointly with the Sippo Fly Tying Get Together, a group of 75 or so who meet three times annually in January, February, and March in Canton, Ohio. Along with good fellowship with fellow fly fishers, there will be door prizes, fly tying, a raffle of fly rods, and a speaker on fly fishing experiences. The speaker will be Dustin Coffey, who is the 2024 Orvis-Endorsed Fly-Fishing Guide of the Year. This award goes annually to the Orvis-endorsed guide who earns the highest customer satisfaction rating, while also excelling in the areas of conservation and recruitment of new people to the sport. Dustin began fishing with his grandfather at age five, and has 25 years of experience as a professional guide. He’s known for his friendliness, attention to detail, and ability to explain complicated fly-fishing techniques to everyday anglers, while making it fun and rewarding. Currently, he divides his time guiding between Tennessee and Montana.
