Comments: I will have to say, I was quite impressed with my trip to Apple Creek. Friday's conditions were stellar to say the least. The rain earlier in the week helped the water to pose a slight emerald stain and moderate flows (any trout fisherman's dream). I wasn't expecting a ton of success, but thankfully I was proven horribly, and I mean horribly wrong. I used a dull yellow single puffball egg pattern (size 14) that yielded 4 hookups on my first 4 drifts, 2 of which were 16" rainbows. I stuck with the egg patterns to catch the rest of the fish. The fish ranged in length from 14-16" (all released happy and healthy).
