Fished the extreme upper and lower parts of the park with 2 friends. Water was cold 36 deg and ultra clear, and fish in some pools were in spawning mode. Saw a few trout in a shallower 3' deep pool feeding on the surface but couldn't figure them out. Must have been on the midges. We saw midges in size 26? and a good number of stoneflies size 12, yeh. Saw stoneflies dancing on the surface above their heads and they would not rise to it, but the few rises seemed to be the midges in the right place at the wrong time. I caught one on a BH hares ear soft hackle with a bit of motion.
