Comments: Fished Apple Creek today. Seems like every year the creek changes due to flooding. Where there was once nice holes and runs they are no more. But there are new ones that have been created. Experienced one of the most prolific stonefly hatches on Apple Creek today at 1pm. I had them all over me! Quickly switched to stonefly nymph patterns with no success. Studied the water closely and never saw a single rise on a stonefly. Packed up after a couple of hours and headed South to the Clear Fork.
