It was a cool cloudy morning today with intermittent rain showers. The water was somewhat high with a great flow and 3-ft visibility, but the trout were hidden in deep holes and runs and could not be spotted. I hooked 5 and landed three all around 14-15 inches. They were fat and healthy! Two were taken on a pink eggstasy egg and the third on a red jumbo chewing gum pattern, all tied on barbless hooks. It rained heavily with thunder shortly after we quit just after noon. Only 3 other fly anglers on the stream including one person who caught their first rainbow trout on a fly rod.
