Comments: Clear water, warm day to start before the front blew in. Six cars in the lot when I arrived at 10:30, full when I left 1 p.m. Fishing started slow, with refusals of many nymph patterns. Broke off a big fish in a root tangle that took a guide's choice hare's ear, and when I realized (of course) that was the only one of that pattern I had, I finally swallowed my pride and tied on an egg pattern. Bingo.
