Angler Name: Skip Nault
Angler Age: 78
Angler Home: Wooster
Fishing Tackle: Fly Fishing
Fish Caught: Rainbow Trout
Comments: Paul Swarmer and I worked with 8 novice fly anglers, teaching them the basics of fly fishing in the morning (fly selection, knots, how to cast and so on). The water was perfect with a great flow and up to 2-feet of visibility. None hooked up with trout in the 2 hours they fished. Talked to a couple who come up from Columbus to fish Apple Creek often, and they did catch a 14-inch rainbow at the lower end of the park. So the fish are still there; just have to figure the best time of the day and the best flies to use.
