Comments: It has been sometime since I was skunked fishing Apple Creek. I fished for three hours in the morning. It was a cloudy but warm day and the water level was low and extremely clear. I used flies patterns that usually work well in the creek; nymphs, small streamers and a few dry flies. I could see trout in the shallower runs and holes and a few chased my streamers but did not bite. This, despite that last week fly anglers were having great success. I spoke with two other fly fishers, one of whom caught and released three rainbows and another angler just starting out. We need rain to improve fishing conditions. AND PLEASE PRACTICE CATCH AND RELEASE!
