Fished Apple Creek 3 hours this morning. Only angler on the stream. Nymph fished with squirmy wormy as my top fly and tung bead head Aurora nymph my bottom fly. Caught a hard fighting 16-incher on the wormy. Water temp was 69F with 2-ft visibility and a good flow. Air temps in high 70's and cloudy overhead.
Talked to another fly fisher last week who caught and released two 14-inch bows and a couple small mouth bass as a bonus on the creek.
The storm waters since I last fished the creek have rearranged some holes and runs for the better in my opinion, especially in the lower portion of the stream.
