Comments: On a beautiful and cool day Randy & I headed for Apple Creek, fishing from 8 until 11:30 in the morning. Air temps were in the 60's and partly sunny. Water temp was 68F with a couple feet of visibility and a good flow. There was a slight stain from rain earlier in the week.
Randy caught a pretty rainbow (see picture in the galley) on one of his first casts; that was the only fish caught and released all morning. It was a memorable fish, a 16-incher clearing the water on two of its jumps and putting up one heck of a fight. It was caught on a worm pattern Skip tied on a barbless jig hook.
We saw two other anglers, a fly fisher from the Mad Men TU chapter and a spin fisher using two rods and fishing with bait, despite signs asking anglers not to use bait. Also sadly, we saw a lot of litter on the banks including, you guessed it, an empty box of Canadian fishing worms.
PLEASE DO NOT LITTER AND FISH WITH BAIT!!
