Comments: Water was low, creek also looked very different than it did the last time I was there back in March. Saw some tracks from skid loaders and bulldozers right by the creek not to far from the parking lot. Not sure what that heavy equipment was for? Fished from the parking lot up stream to the first bridge. Mainly euro style nymphing. Does anyone know if they recently did any work on the stream? Adding rocks, removing lay-downs, etc? It looks very different. Anyhow looking forward to fishing it in the months to come after the stocking and as winter approaches. Tight Lines everyone!
Note from Web Master: In July, Apple Creek was flooded from heavy rains on the watershed. The parking lot had 5-feet of water at the height of the flood. Numerous trees and much debris accumulated along the creek banks. Heavy equipment was brought in to remove the debris (tires, mattresses, refrigerators, etc.) trees and limbs blocking the flow of water. Some large trees were left behind in the water to create holding areas for trout to be stocked this and next month.
