Comments: I wanted to get out fishing ahead of this winter storm and the coming deep freeze. I originally went to Apple Creek, but the deeper slow water was locked up so I made the choice to make the trip down to the lower Clear Fork. Within five minutes of arriving, I was able to land a smaller rainbow in the water right next to my car. I worked my way downstream and ended up picking up four more fish between 12-14". I was hoping I would hook into one of the larger rainbows, but I was content fishing in the light snow and admiring the beauty of the park. All of these fish came on a size 8 black conehead wooly bugger as the water had some greenish stain to it. Before I left I ventured up to the spillway where two other guys had just released a 50" muskie that swam right over the top of my feet. Quite an adventure!
