A beauty of a late December day to be on the Clear Fork River. Air temps were in the mid-50's and sun with no wind. Water temp was 40F with 2-3 ft visibility. All trout taken with egg patterns and nymphs floated under a strike indicator. Best flies were #12 pink, orange and chartreuse egg patterns and purple prince nymphs. Fish were taken in deep runs as well as riffles. We saw another couple dozen fly fishers, but they were well spaced out and there was plenty of room to fish.
