Stream Fished: Clear Fork River
Date: 12-27-2022
Angler Age: 28
Angler Home: Canton, OH
Fishing Tackle: Fly Fishing
Fish Caught: Rainbow Trout
Rainbow Trout Caught: 4
Comments: I fished the lower Clear Fork (upper was frozen) with my tenkara rod (didn't want to worry about the guides on my fly rod freezing up on me).
I caught and released 4 rainbows drifting a size 20 beadhead pheasant tail nymph with a couple split shot at a depth of about 2ish feet through a single hole downstream from the covered bridge. I also caught 1 sucker as a little surprise.
The weather was cold and totally overcast, with minimal wind. The water was cold (but not frozen) and pretty cloudy, but flowing lazily. I didn't see any other anglers. Overall a great day of fishing!
