Fish Caught: Steelhead
Steelhead Caught: 8
Comments: We drove 4 hours to get to an eastern Ohio tributary, but it was worth it. We fished from 8 a.m. until 3 in the afternoon. It was very cold the first three hours, with ice building up on the fly rod guides, making casting difficult and tying on flies with cold fingers a chore. By mid day the bite improved. Best flies were sucker spawn and white death dead drifted. Despite cold water, the fish were hard fighters, ranging in size from 4 to 6 pounds. There was a good flow of water with 2-ft of visibility. See pictures of fish caught under the gallery.
