Fished a private stretch of an east Ohio Erie tributary. Sunny weather with temps low 40's to mid 50's. Good water flow with 2-3 visibility and 42F. Great day as we hooked 35 steelhead and landed and released 21. Best flies were black nymphs resembling small stone flies and light colored eggstasy egg patterns. A combination of bright fresh fish along with dark males that must have been in the river for a while. Fish ranged in size from a couple 2-lb skippers to several 7-8-lb males and females ( full of eggs). Great day indeed!
